A hand-drawn stippling interpretation of "The Cave of The Storm Nymphs," an often-forgotten neoclassical painting originally from Edward Poynter captures a glimpse into the dwelling of the ancient mythological Greek sirens, luring sailors to their deaths. The framing and the stippling technique combine to evoke the feeling of essentially spying on the nymphs, watching them through a crack in the wall or from a distance. 

Poynter actually painted this piece twice, and while the first version is available to view in a museum in Virginia, the second lives in the private collection of Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
